Watch Foo Fighters' Short Film for Vevo 'Extended Play'
(BHM) Vevo, the world's leading music video network, announces the release of Foo Fighters' short film as the conclusion to their 'Extended Play' series. Foo Fighters' 'Extended Play' installment features intimate conversations, as well as live performances of "Child Actor," "Of All People," "Caught In The Echo" and "Unconditional," from their new album, Your Favorite Toy.
Filmed at Foo Fighters' 606 studio in Los Angeles, the Vevo original features the band discussing musical influences over a potluck dinner. Dave Grohl comes in strong with ingredients for BLTs, keyboardist Rami Jaffee shows off his "Los Angeles Kugel," bass player Nate Mendel brings Salmon, guitarist Chris Shiflett totes green beans, drummer Ilan Rubin comes in with his freshly baked sourdough and guitarist Pat Smear rounds out the meal with ice cream sandwiches.
As the band sits down to eat, they reflect on how the sounds of their pasts shaped the Foo Fighters music. The band's new album, Your Favorite Toy, is an amalgamation of those sounds - from the breakneck hardcore tempos of some of the members' previous bands to the timeless melodies they loved as kids and older, wiser adults alike. "I like the new songs just because they feel comfortable to play" mused Dave. Ilan agreed saying, "Nothing felt...uncomfortable."
