Amy Grant Expands 'The Me That Remains' Album
(Shore Fire) Amy Grant has announced The Me That Remains (Deluxe Edition), an expanded digital edition of her new album, out October 2 via Thirty Tigers. Featuring seven bonus tracks, the deluxe edition includes new collaborations and reimagined versions of songs from the album, as well as four live performances captured during Grant's celebratory album release show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
Among the new additions is a version of "Please Don't Make Me Beg" featuring the song's co-writer, Switchfoot's Jon Foreman, alongside new takes on "The 6th of January (Yasgur's Farm)" with the Driving Home Mix and "Beautiful Lone Companion" with the Mandolin Choir Mix. Rounding out the deluxe edition are live recordings of "The Saint," "The Me That Remains," "'Til We Get It Right" and "(Nothing Like A) Sunny Day." Grant released The Me That Remains on May 8, marking her first album of original songs in 13 years. Produced by ten-time CMA Award winner and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer Mac McAnally, the album finds Grant reflecting on healing, connection and the passage of time while leaning into her instincts as a singer-songwriter. The collection includes the Woodstock-inspired "The 6th of January (Yasgur's Farm)", "How Do We Get There From Here" (feat. Ruby Amanfu), "The Saint," and the title track "The Me That Remains."
The announcement follows Grant's debut at AMERICANAFEST last week, where she performed an official showcase at Third and Lindsley on Tuesday, September 15th, followed by a keynote with NPR Music's Jewly Hight on Wednesday, September 16th.
