Hear Emily Ann Roberts' New Single 'Lonely Boy'
(SMN) Breakout singer and songwriter Emily Ann Roberts continues to treat fans to new music, today releasing her latest song "Lonely Boy" via RECORDS Nashville/Sony Music Nashville.
"I've always been a sucker for a beautiful melody. While the lyrics matter a great deal to me, I believe a melody is what draws me in to a great song the most," shared Roberts. "That's how I feel about the melody in 'Lonely Boy.' It captures me and makes me want to sing it over and over again. I wrote it with Frank Rogers and Ryan Beaver, and we dove into a story of a guy who has love right in front of him - he just can't see it. I hope folks love singing along to it as much as I do."
With playful fiddle and banjo throughout, Roberts' East Tennessee twang playfully pleads with her potential suitor: "If you open your eyes then you'll see. I'm what you're missin' and all you need. Baby, you don't have to be lonely, boy."
Roberts recently celebrated her first ever CMA Award nomination, up for New Artist of the Year at the 60th annual ceremony. She has had a whirlwind year of accolades, including a nomination for ACM New Female Artist of the Year, inclusion in MusicRow Next Big Thing and Opry NextStage classes of 2026, performed on the VIP Platform stage at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest, was named AIMP Nashville Rising Artist-Writer of the Year, MusicRow's Discovery Artist of the Year, and more.
She has spent most of 2026 splitting time between supporting superstars including Cody Johson and Thomas Rhett while also headlining sold-out shows across the country and hitting high-profile festivals. She'll also join Johnson for a European run later this year, with stops in London, Dublin, Glasgow and additional cities across the U.K.
